5 Fab Reasons to Become a Personal Trainer
June 23, 2015Anita Lemon

personal training career

1 – Never work a day in your life

There’s a famous quote by Mark Twain that sums up what life’s like for those who want to be a personal trainer. ‘Find a job you enjoy doing, and you will never have to work a day in your life.’ If you’re a natural people person who loves fitness with a passion then you’re halfway there already! During your personal trainer course we will teach you the skills and little by little develop your talent in the art of personal training.

You bring the passion and we’ll teach the know-how and practical skills enabling you to fulfil the career of your dreams.

2 – Be part of a growing industry

Spend a few minutes searching personal trainer jobs and you’ll find a whole host of opportunities. Once qualified, you can take your career in many directions, such as personal training in a gym, setting up your own freelance business, entering a partnership, running classes or even choose to go down the educational route teaching and assessing other wannabe personal trainers.

3 – Choose your speciality

There are few jobs where you get to choose the people you work with! Personal trainers who choose to specialise work with specific clients groups that suit their niche skills. For example, kids, obesity, seniors, boot camps, exercise correction and medical related rehabilitation.

From paunches to posture, muscle building to marathons and fat loss to FIIT, there’s something for everyone.

4 – Take control of your career path

Whether you’re a fitness instructor ready to take the next step in your full-time fitness career, seeking a source of extra part-time income, looking for a career change, or are starting out post redundancy, personal training offers everyone the same potential. That is to grow a fruitful and expanding business where you set your hours and have the opportunity to grow, expand and develop your very own business.

5 – Earn £50 plus per hour

Of course, it takes commitment and hard work but if you’re prepared to put in the graft, with earnings typically at the £50 per hour mark, a personal training career offers the financial rewards to match.

If you’re ready to take the next step on your journey to becoming a personal trainer choose from our level 3 certificate and diploma courses to kick-start your career.
