Bored of the daily 9-5 grind?

Retrain as a Personal Trainer and set your own working hours

One of the most common reasons people choose to become a Personal Trainer is because they have a desire to leave the grind of the current day job, set their own working hours, earn a decent wage and strike a balance between their work and non-work commitments.

Often this desire has been on the back burner for some time as the day job and paying the bills takes over…but then something happens that acts as a catalyst for change.

It may be redundancy, childcare commitments, a change of career or simply a desire to work for oneself that simply won’t go away or a burning passion to do something different.

In our case here at the Academy of Fitness Professionals our business was born by a desire to give something back, share our skills and expertise, and develop a flexible model that means our team can do the things they love both inside and outside the workplace.

With years of expertise in the fitness sector and having helped many Personal Training clients achieve their goals we found ourselves being asked to help others start out in the profession and recognised we could make a real difference to their future careers and their clients health, fitness and well-being.

Anita Lemon
Anita is a Course Director at the Academy of Fitness Professionals and joined the board in 2013. With a proven background in blue chip corporate management, training and development including Lloyds Banking Group, Prudential and Renault-Nissan she is committed to offering the very best student experience both in terms of education and value. Specialist qualifications spanning the past 25 years include; training and development, business management, finance and diet and nutrition. Anita holds a Diploma in Nutrition and she is a certified Metabolic Typing Advisor.
