This Exercise to Music course will teach you the theoretical knowledge and practical skills so that you can design, deliver and evaluate your own group based exercise classes. You will be ready to teach and supervise exercise to music classes for both healthy adults and young people within the 14-16 age ranges and can join REPs at level 2. Once complete you will be a fully qualified Exercise to Music Instructor and be recognised as a Level 2 Fitness Professional.
You will gain the Level 2 Certificate in Instructing Exercise to Music and be ready to run your own classes or gain employment within a gym as an Exercise to Music Instructor, Fitness and Weight Management Instructor, Freelance Class Instructor, Group Exercise Coach or Studio Co-ordinator or run your own freelance fitness business.

How is the Exercise to Music course assessed?
As part of your course you’ll compile your own portfolio of evidence to gain this Exercise to Music qualification. In addition you will complete a course practical where you will showcase your very own exercise to music class.

Do I need any existing skills or sports abilities?
No previous fitness or exercise qualifications are required. However, due to the nature of the exercise to music classes that you will ultimately be qualified to instruct it is advisable to be of sufficient fitness so that you are able to carry out the role.
What previous education is required?
You don’t need any specific qualifications to complete this course. However, it is beneficial to have some experience of participating in exercise to music related classes.
How old do I need to be?
The minimum age for this course is 16.
How long does the course take to finish?
Many of our students complete this course from 6 weeks, however there is no set time limit enabling you to study at your own pace with the peace of mind that you have a maximum of two years to become qualified.
Is there any expiry date?
No. Once qualified you will be recognised as having obtained the Level 2 Exercise to Music Certification.
