Which qualification will I achieve?
Once your course is complete you will receive the Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training. This nationally recognised certification also enables you to join REPs at level 3 with 20 CPD’s and obtain the necessary insurance to practice as a freelance Personal Trainer.
How is the course assessed?
You will compile your own portfolio of evidence by completing workbooks for each theory module which you submit to your Personal Trainer course tutor. In addition, you will attend practical workshops where you will learn how to design, manage and instruct effective personal training programmes for your clients. You can both study and complete your portfolio at a pace that’s right for you.
Do I need any existing skills or sports abilities?
There is no need for any existing fitness skills or sporting abilities. However, to be a successful Personal Trainer it helps if you have a genuine interest in fitness and are passionate about helping clients accomplish their fitness related goals. This course is tailored to enabling you to pursue a personal training career assisting your clients and at no time will your personal fitness levels determine your progress on this course.
What previous education is required?
To have studied one of our Level 2 Fitness Instructor courses, or have an equivalent industry recognised qualification.
How old do I need to be?
The minimum age for this course is 16.
How long does the course take to finish?
The majority of students complete this course from 6 weeks, however you have a maximum of two years to qualify enabling you to study at your own pace.
Is there any expiry date?
No. You will always have this nationally recognised NCFE personal training qualification to hand.
