At this level our graduates typically work freelance either within a local gym setting or by establishing their own micro gym. Here they will work with a wide range of specialist clients such as; elite athlete coaching and celebrities, or providing personal training for specialist client populations such as seniors, obesity, exercise correction and rehabilitation.

Typical hourly earnings reflect the advanced skills you can offer clients and range from £60 to £100 per hour, depending on location and the assessment work involved.

Which qualification will I achieve?

On successful completion of this course you will receive the NCFE Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training (QCF). You will gain 48 QCF credits and can register with the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) as a Level 3 Personal Trainer.

How is the course assessed?

As part of your course you’ll compile your own portfolio as evidence to gaining this qualification. In addition you will attend practical workshops where you will learn how to design, manage and deliver effective exercise programmes for your clients. You can study and complete your portfolio at a pace that’s right for you.

Do I need any existing skills or sports abilities?

To gain our Level 3 Personal Trainer Diploma qualification, it is likely that you will have a certain level of fitness. However, our courses are about training you to be an excellent Personal Trainer and at no time will your fitness level determine your progress on this personal training course.

What previous education is required?

To have studied a Level 2 Fitness Instructor course or equivalent fitness qualification.

How old do I need to be?

The minimum age for this course is 16.

How long does the course take to finish?

The majority of students complete this course from 12 weeks, 12 weeks, however you have up to two years to qualify enabling you to study at your own pace.

Is there any expiry date?

No. You will always have this nationally recognised personal training qualification to hand.
