There is a lot to love about being a Personal Trainer. Working with a huge range of different clientele, having a positive impact on a clients life, shaping your destiny and where your income is concerned the sky’s the limit!
Your personal training career is a journey. To make that journey commercially viable and minimise those bumps in the road we have provided 3 top tips to make for a truly great personal training business.
Tip #1 – Expecting Quick Wins
It takes time and patience to be a top personal trainer.
Our best personal trainers are experts in what they do. They studied hard, devoted a serious amount of time and a good measure of tenacity to their learning. They work closely with their expert tutors during their course.
But it doesn’t stop there…
They keep learning on and off the job to hone their skills and knowledge.
Tip #2 – Expect Negotiation
In this day and age expect clients to seek a discount.
How you respond will say a lot about you so take a pause and think.
Our PT’s provide a professional service and charge accordingly. After all would you ask an osteopath or a physio for a discount?
Were not saying flexibility with pricing isn’t important – it’s vital.
However, think carefully about how this is packaged and presented. Remember the value you are offering.
At our complimentary business skills workshop offered to all our newly qualified PT’s we explore the importance of value and pricing or as we would prefer to call it investment!
Tip #3 – Plan
How much income do you plan to earn this year?
What’s that per month?
And per week?
How many sessions do you need this week to achieve this?
Our successful Personal Trainers focus not only on working in the business but also on the business and plan time every day to do just that!
